Sand control completions are the most demanding measurement environment in industrial filtration. Wire wrap, direct wrap and wedge wire filter screens carry slot openings of a few hundred microns that must hold under pressure cycling, abrasion and erosion for years. A single defective sand control screen can shut down a well for days, and rework subsea is rarely possible.
